Geo-political Tensions Reinforce Canada Rare Earth’s Strategic Plan

Vancouver, British Columbia: Canada Rare Earth Corp.  (“Canada Rare Earth” or the “Company”) (TSX.V: LL) notes increasing global political tensions causing, in part, a renewed angst regarding the possible restrictions and interruptions of rare earths.

“Our senior management team consulted with industry participants, experts and financiers to critically evaluate our vision and approach in the context of the entire industry and the geo-political tensions which we anticipated. Conclusions confirm the validity of our strategy and, as a result, we are continuing to focus on our prioritized high-value specific initiatives, leveraging our core attributes and competencies. Our intention is to maximize shareholder value as we are building our business of developing and acquiring rare earths in various forms, establishing our own proprietary processing facilities and selling value-added products,” said Tracy A. Moore, CEO.

Canada Rare Earth’s vision is to become a major supplier of rare earth products by establishing mid-stream processing capabilities and facilities in key locations globally.  The Company has identified Southeast Asia, South America and Australia as countries to deploy its proven capabilities. Projects and initiatives are underway and progressing in all of these locations.  The facilities will produce rare earth oxides and metals for all the commercially traded elements, both light and heavy.  The Company will bring these rare earth products to market along with other closely associated mineral concentrates through its trading platform and growing trading team.

Peter Shearing, COO added “These facilities will produce rare earth products that are key to the success of leading companies around the globe who are racing to bring new technologies to market.  That electric car you are purchasing is just one of the many examples of products and technologies that are critically dependent on the access to rare earths and that access is what Canada Rare Earth is working to make a reality.”
